The
South Pacific is a glistening jewel of simplistic life.
Island smiles from people who enjoy a life off the land
are the gift of the pacific spirit. Lin feels at home
among these beautiful people and enjoys their hospitality,
their beliefs and their beautiful ocean bounties.
Her first port of call is the Solomon’s where
she talks with a medicine man & dives a custom cave.
Then she explores the war wrecks hidden beneath the
sparkling waters the remains of foreign hostility that
came to these peaceful shores.
Then she heads to Rabaul in Papua New Guinea to see
life after a volcanic eruption and how the land bounces
back from natural devastation. Lin also dives beneath
these shores on the edge of paradise to see more war
wrecks.
Finally Lin heads to the islands “Lost in Time”,
the remote and beautiful Lachlan Islands 100 miles from
anywhere. With very little modern influence the Lachlan
Islands are one of those pristine places still left
in the world. Here she finds an enviable lifestyle and
some of the most beautiful people in the world who live
purely from the land. Lin goes fishing with the locals
then helps them prepare for feasts and learns what it
is like to live off the land. |
